Two million hooves, one unbroken circle
Wildebeest, zebra and gazelle move in a continuous clockwise loop through the Serengeti-Mara ecosystem, chasing rain and fresh grass on an ~800km circuit that never stops. Time your trip right and you can watch calving season, a river crossing, or the herds thundering across open plains.
Ndutu & Southern Serengeti

The herds break into long columns and begin the march north, following the rains.
